We kennen ze inmiddels allemaal: Twitter, Facebook, Hyves, Flickr, Myspace, wiki’s, blogs, et cetera. Web 2.0 draait om sociale software voor het web en is de grootste Internethype sinds de dotcom bubbel begin deze eeuw is geknapt. Velen denken dat deze tools (de sites bieden immers functionaliteit) uiteindelijk de basis zullen vormen van het sociale Web 3.0 dat eraan zit te komen (ook wel Semantic Web genoemd).
